Ebrahim Barfarazi is an Iranian painter based in Tehran. Working primarily in painting and drawing, his practice centers on the human figure and contemporary life. He holds a Master's degree in Painting from the University of Tehran and a Bachelor's degree in Painting from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Barfarazi has presented numerous solo and group exhibitions across Iran and internationally, including exhibitions in Tehran, Mashhad, Istanbul, and New Delhi. Alongside his artistic practice, he has worked extensively as an art educator, workshop leader, and exhibition curator. His work has been exhibited in leading Iranian galleries and has reached international audiences through exhibitions abroad, reflecting a sustained engagement with contemporary painting over more than two decades.
Man's loneliness increased after the creation of gods. Empires were founded and wars spread in the name of peace. Houses were destroyed and people were displaced, so that children were born without a flag and learned to be alone. In Two Thousand and Some, Ebrahim Barfarazi reflects on displacement, solitude, memory, and the fragile condition of contemporary humanity through a series of symbolic and monumental paintings.
