Jessica Tabarovsky (born 1968, Argentina) is a contemporary figurative painter based in Israel, working primarily in oil on canvas. A multidisciplinary artist, she describes herself as a wanderer who has found roots in her nomadic journey, having worked over the years in theatre, academia, and, more recently, figurative painting. Tabarovsky's paintings focus on the quiet moments of everyday life—a fleeting facial expression, the position of a foot, or an ordinary object that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Through these intimate observations, she explores the tension between permanence and transience, revealing the beauty and emotional depth found in seemingly insignificant moments. Rich, vibrant colour plays a central role in her practice, serving not only as an aesthetic choice but as a means of expressing the emotional "temperature" of her subjects. Her work seeks to uncover the tragic and the sublime through the local, the ordinary, and the deeply human. Tabarovsky has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel, including in Tel Aviv and Beersheba, and held her first solo exhibition in Beersheba in 2026.
