View Full Artist Catalogue →In Still Life Without a Head, Sagie Azoulay revisits the tradition of still-life painting through images drawn from memory and imagination rather than direct observation. Apples, bananas and flowers appear as isolated objects in ambiguous theatrical settings, exploring repetition, reflection and the relationship between representation and absence. The exhibition also includes a concrete installation in which a darkened architectural surface and an emerging head extend the exploration beyond the canvas.
