Erez Aharon is an Israeli painter, based in Tel Aviv. His practice is rooted in observational and figurative painting, with recurring subjects drawn from nature, everyday objects, and the human figure. His paintings often isolate their subjects against restrained backgrounds, shifting familiar forms between direct observation, representation, and abstraction. Aharon began studying painting and drawing at HaMidrasha School of Art at Beit Berl and continued his studies with Israel Hershberg at the Jerusalem Studio School. In 2009, he studied landscape painting in Umbria, Italy, and later studied figurative painting with Aram Gershuni at HaTahana Studio in Tel Aviv. His solo exhibitions include Beginnings at the Hayek Center for Contemporary Art, Jaffa (2012), Eruv at Gordon Gallery, Tel Aviv (2016), Thread of Thought at Gordon Gallery, Jerusalem (2022), and The Wandering Jew at Gordon Gallery, Tel Aviv (2023). His work has also been exhibited at Gordon Gallery in New York. Alongside his studio practice, Aharon has taught painting and led landscape-painting workshops in Israel and abroad.
