Artist Statement

The project began as a visual attempt to express the feeling produced by sustained visual and mental overload—exhaustion, confusion, loss of balance, a quiet accumulation of internal pressure, and overstimulation that does not erupt but gradually intensifies within the body and mind. Across a large canvas, a visual narrative unfolds in which the central figure undergoes a gradual transformation: from an ordinary human being into a distorted entity increasingly removed from its human qualities, as the features of the face and body begin to merge with animalistic and brutal characteristics. The transformation does not occur only within the figure itself, but also spreads to the surrounding columns, which begin to crack and change, as though the space itself is affected by the same psychological state. The boundary between body and stone, and between human and monster, gradually disappears until the entire environment becomes a direct reflection of accumulating internal pressure.
