Salsabel Saed (b. 2002) is a visual artist from Arraba al-Batuf, Israel, and a graduate of the Art and Education program at Oranim College. Her practice explores identity, loss, memory, and the body, drawing on personal experience and transforming it into broader questions about human experience. From childhood, Saed was influenced by both visual art and ballet, which she studied for nine years. This experience deepened her interest in the relationship between the body, emotion, and non-verbal expression. Working experimentally across painting, sculpture, and ceramics, she approaches material as an active participant in the creative process and as a means of translating internal experience into tangible visual traces. Her work examines the persistence of memory and identity following loss, and the relationships between presence and absence, pain and the possibility of repair. Rather than proposing definitive answers, Saed uses her practice to raise open questions about internal transformation and the reconstruction of the self. She intends to continue developing her artistic language, particularly through ceramics and multidisciplinary practice.
