Biography
Tamar Hazima (b. 2002, Maghar, Israel) is an artist and photographer who studied art at Oranim College of Education. For Hazima, artistic practice is a way of observing the world and giving form to experiences that are not always easy to express in words.
She draws inspiration from her surroundings, from people, everyday moments, and personal experience. Her work is particularly concerned with the relationship between people, place, and memory. Through photography and other artistic media, Hazima seeks to develop a personal visual language that can tell a story while allowing viewers to connect with it in their own way.

The Red Thread

The Red Thread is a personal work rooted in Tamar Hazima's memories of her grandfather. Sculpted eyes and faces are connected by a red thread, accompanied by colourful floral forms and beads. The eyes are based on those of her grandfather, while the flowers reference flowers he loved. The red thread symbolises an enduring connection that continues across time and changing circumstances. Through these elements, the work gives physical form to memory, presence, and an emotional bond that persists despite absence.
